on Monday morning, Nicole a Virginia Beach resident, found a Mama duck quacking in her driveway. She said, "I went to get in my car and she continued to look at me quacking, so I got out of the car. She walked over to the storm drain and looked at me…I followed her and that’s when I heard the little duck peeps! Sure enough…one of her ducklings had fallen down the storm drain"
She contacted the VBSPCA Wildlife rescue and three volunteers came to help out. These three amazing volunteers crawled through the tubes, playing duck noises, until they were able to catch the baby and bring him out.
They worked for 6 1/2 hours!
and finally...Baby duck was reunited with Mama duck!
She looked over her babies, and finally left the yard toward the lake with all babies trailing behind!
Thank you to these amazing volunteers: Karen Roberts, Julie Coari and Rose Chandler “AKA Crazy Duck Lady”! They are available 24/7 all on a volunteer basis and can be reached at 757-263-4762.
These dogs bow their heads and pray before every meal!!
Congratulations to Jon Jones of the Eli Young Band and his wife, Sarah, on the birth of their New Year's Eve baby!
Looks like baby Hudson Lennon is ready for his first guitar lesson!
Hudson was born on New Years Eve at 1pm weighing in at 7lbs 8oz. Jon was set to ring in the New Year on stage with his bandmates but they, unsurprisingly, gave the new Dad the night off. Jon told People mag, “The rest of the band went on stage without me for the second time in our careers. They are truly great friends for letting Sarah and I share this wonderful experience together. We were home within four hours of the birth to celebrate New Year’s Eve as a family — mostly holding Hudson in amazement.”
Looks like Kenny Chesney got cozy with a mystery brunette over the holidays!
Kenny was spoted in Hawaii with this new girl(friend)? Whoever she is, she's one lucky lady, right?!
Awww check out Trellis in her little purple coat! TOO cute
Trellis is a 7 year old male Chihuahua mix looking for a home! She is good with children and other dogs.
