Stephanie Taylor Q&A
How you got started in radio & what brought you to The Eagle:
I grew up listening to the Eagle when my family would travel down to Virginia Beach for my Dad's Marine Corp reserve duty at Dam Neck. My sister and I would take our portable radio out to the beach on Dam Neck and listen to George Strait and Tim McGraw coming out of the dial on 97.3. When I graduated from high school I decided to take my love of country music to the next level and got a degree in Music Business from Middle Tennessee State University. I interned at Sony Music in Nashville and after graduating my Dad suggested I try out radio (thanks Dad!) I took his advice and started working as a receptionist at my local country station in Fredericksburg. 5 years later I heard that my other childhood station, The Eagle, was looking for a DJ and here I am! I will celebrate my 10 year anniversary with the Eagle in August and just may have to take a portable radio out to the beach on Damn Neck, grab a towel and some "Sun In" (remember that?!) to celebrate.
[My sister and I at the Shifting Sands on Dam Neck then and now]

The Lentil Soup and Falafel Hummus Wrap at Azar's Restaurant.
Favorite artist (does not have to be country):
All time favorite - Dolly Parton. New favorite - Miranda Lambert
Favorite song (does not have to be country):

[Kayaking and dolphin watching at the Oceanfront!]
[My favorite "date" with my husband- Taking our kayak and bikes out to First Landing Park followed by a picnic on the beach]
If you could live in a book, TV show or movie what would it be?
I'd live in Stars Hollow, have coffee at Luke's and be best friends with Sookie just like The Gilmore Girls :)
How would you spend a billion dollars?
I would start my own animal rescue group and take in every homeless dog and cat I found
If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?
I would go back in time and like Brad Paisley says I would write a letter to me. "I'd say have a little faith and you'll see.... you'll wind up where you're supposed to be."
